Minds Pass Minds If They Be Occupied, a piece from my series I Believe in Ghosts, is exhibiting in True North at di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art in Napa, California.
True North is a juried exhibition surveying talent from San Francisco's North Bay. The collection of work was juried by Chester Arnold, Ashwini Bhat, and Chandra Cerrito and is open to the public from December 16 through January 22, 2023. We Hunt the Doe was selected to be a part of Portrait International Juried Exhibition at the Li Tang Gallery which opens November 4th. I'm excited to share this exhibition because this collection of work is presented through a virtual gallery space and is geographically accessible to all! The works are viewable in a webpage format or as a "walkable" 3D virtual gallery. Note: The 3D gallery works best on Firefox and Google Chrome.
Volume 15 of Friend of the Artist, a publication dedicated to elevating the work of emerging artists from around the world, is featuring work from my series I Believe in Ghosts. This is a really terrific book to acquire if you're interested in exposing yourself to an array of contemporary art. The book features 50 artists from 13 countries who work in various mediums and showcases a diversity of aesthetics and ideas. Learn more and order a copy here.
Here is a new preparatory drawing for an upcoming portrait in my I Believe in Ghosts series exploring honey.
I am happy to share that I am included in Artists of the Bay Area, Vol. 2, a two volume book set curated by Jen Tough (Jen Tough Gallery) that features "the best contemporary artists living in and around the Bay Area of California."
The above before and after photos were taken in April of 2020 (left) and December of 2021 (right) and mark the challenge of completing the largest and most complex work in my I Believe in Ghosts series to date.
